"Chet's Christmas mug: My absolute most precious gift for Christmas. Chet, I love you. Marian, I love you so much for sacrificing this to me. It means the world to me and is guarded. I'm the only one that drinks, touches, or cleans this mug! Merry Christmas!!!?" ~Mike Dame

Every year when we gather in July (the month of Chet's birthday) my mom has us write Chet a message and put it in a balloon. We then let them go and imagine these balloons floating up to Chet. This tradition allows our children to remember & celebrate their uncle. Thanks mom!

When Chet died at the hospital, my mom could not let go of his hand. So the nurse suggested to have a plaster mold made of his hands. In 2010 my mother finally cast this mold in bronze. Thanks to her, we can still "hold" Chet close. Chet's brother, Josh, is holding the bronze hand in this photo.
